You’ll find me all over the world
With plenty of others I’ll bet
Long snakelike neck will be curled
Over wings spread to dry them when wet

They call me black shag in New Zealand
Perhaps not the most flattering name
But you have to admit my numbers are grand
And it fits me just fine all the same
